University of California, San Diego Medical Center Selects Nuance’s Dragon Medical to Enhance EHR Rollout

BURLINGTON, MA — July 20, 2009 — Nuance Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: NUAN), a leading supplier of speech solutions, today announced that University of California, San Diego Medical Center (UCSD Medical Center) selected Dragon Medical for use at multiple facilities to expand physicians’ options for documenting electronic health records (EHRs) to include real-time speech recognition. With Dragon Medical, physicians can document patient encounters via their voice for editing in real-time, without the need for medical transcription or reliance on typing and mouse navigation to complete an EHR.

SBI Mutual Fund Deploys Nuance Powered Technology to Enhance Customer Experience

INDIA — July 21, 2009 — Nuance Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: NUAN) today announced that SBI Funds Management Pvt. Ltd. (a joint venture between State Bank of India and Société Générale Asset Management) has deployed a new IVR solution based on Nuance Recognizer to deliver speech-based self-service interactions for its customers.
