Dialogic® Diva® SIPcontrol™ Software

Dialogic® Diva® SIPcontrol™ software converts Dialogic® Diva® boards (Universal and V-Series) into SIP-enabled PSTN/IP gateways. The boards support a variety of TDM protocols and interfaces, ranging from analog over ISDN and QSIG with BRI and PRI interfaces to E1/T1 digital variants. The resulting SIP gateway can be used to add rich IP communication, presence, instant messaging, and multimedia with video to traditional voice-only applications sets. The gateway creates a bridge between the SIP applications and the switch or PBX required for connection to the PSTN, allowing voice calls to be sent to and received from TDM phones. |

Diva SIPcontrol software translates call control information from the Dialogic® Diva® board into SIP messages while voice channels are converted into IP packets and streamed via the RTP protocol. When Diva SIPcontrol software and Diva boards are combined in a Windows- or Linux-based server, the result is a fully functional PSTN/SIP gateway appliance with all the benefits of using industry standard hardware and operating systems and the proven reliability of dedicated telephony boards.
Diva SIPcontrol can be used in conjunction with Dialogic Diva boards also to provide an interface for Dialogic® Host Media Processing (HMP) Software. In the resulting hybrid TDM/IP environment, HMP applications written to Global Call and R4 APIs can send and receive voice, DTMF, speech, or fax calls concurrently from TDM via ISDN BRI interfaces and from IP via H.323 and SIP interfaces.
Diva SIPcontrol includes features like a revised WEB based configuration (for both SIP and PSTN configuration), early media support, enhanced call routing capabilities, enhanced address manipulation, configurable cause codes, an improved dialplan, trunk selection for outgoing calls and enhanced regular expressions. It supports up to 240 concurrent channels and offers different voice codecs like G.711, G.729, iLBC and GSM. And now it can also be used as a gateway software for Microsoft® e-phone and allows a smooth transition from there to Microsoft® Office® Communications Server 2007
Diva SIPcontrol software is part of the current Diva System Release software and can be downloaded at the respective website or using the link in the menu of this website.
